Downhills Park Cafe to re-open this Friday
Good news from Cllr Peray Ahmet today who has sent me this email today.
Thank you to Friends of Downhills Park for working with the council to make this happen:
The café in Downhills Park will be re-opening tomorrow, Friday 26th August, at 10am.
The Council has asked a trusted proprietor of a café at another park location to operate the Downhills café for the next few months while we market the opportunity more widely.
The café operator will be working with the Friends of Downhills Park, other park users and resident groups in order to achieve a vibrant and sustainable café operation.

Not mentioned in the email but I would assume that the same sort of arrangement as before would be in place. Perhaps someone who is able to visit tomorrow will confirm that at some point.

Yes the toilets are working, as before.
The cafe is opening from 8am to 6pm every day, so longer hours than before.
I have been each day and it is great. Good coffee, cold drinks, slush puppies, sandwiches, wraps, egg and bacon!
Very friendly staff too.
Please support the cafe and it will make a big difference to the park.
