NOT ANOTHER TURKISH RESTAURANT PLEASE?!!! There are too many and there's no variety of restaurant provision in the area. Much better to have a quality shop/store..NOT Pound shops please!!!!
I don't think you need to worry about a pound shop. They rarely have floor to ceiling concertina windows.
HA! You're right Hugh! Well spotted! Oh where is a Thai..a South Indian…a good Italian…Hungarian..Russian…French???? Variety is the spice of life!
There's a very good italian - Durazzo is great.
As Jez said Durazzo is great, as is the Japanese at Brouhaha and the Vietnamese Hanoi Pho (no matter what other posts say) for variety.
It's the registered address of Turkish Cuisine (London) Ltd.
When Salisbury Road is closed off they can have tables in the street.
John …a few years ago I stayed in a holiday villa on a hill at one end of the Spanish town of Lanjaran in the middle of the countryside miles from Malaga. The town had a mineral water bottling plant next to the top quality spa named after it - at the top end of the town and was bustling with lovely cafes and restaurants all the way up the main street ending near our end of the valley.
After 6 days of walking, riding, exploring in the area and of course, eating in the town at the many restaurants ...we dutifully popped into the spa at the top before returning to London.
On the Friday - our last day - that holiday feeling was rudely interrupted (typical tourist!) early in the morning by the squeals and cries of animals being slaughtered at our (bottom) end of the town (cheaper holiday home price here!). The local economy production line was laid bare for all to see!
We could have the same arrangement in Green Lanes! Abattoir behind the Salisbury in those mysterious garages there...then the restaurants..then a spa resort near the softball facilities in Finsbury Park.
Good idea innit?
