Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Harringay's open space ... is now called Fairlands ... but we need your help ......!!

Last summer the children at North and South Harringay Schools held a competition/elections to rename the open space between Falkland & Fairfax Rds on 'the ladder'. They decided on 'Fairlands'.

The name Fairlands is not up for a changing (as the children of the area have made their choice) so please respect this.

What we now need to decide is whether it should be known as a 'park', or a 'green', or indeed an 'open space'. Let us know what you think here.

Thank you

1- Fairland Park

2- Fairland Green

3- Fairland Open Space

Yup, I'll second that. A "green" and an "open space" will not do justice to the great things going on in it - they just sound more like unkempt meadows or fields. Call it a "park" and they will come. . .
Yes, would you believe that using the word 'park' gives us a higher status regards funding, policing and maintenance.
Sounds as if you just answered your own question then :-)
Bureaucracy is doing its best to provide the answer to be more precise. :)
Green. Sorry kids but I hate the name.
what would you call it?
Tottenbury Park
It's better than " Falkfax " :)
I'd go for 2 as well. Park sounds too grand!
"Fairlands "by itself sounds wonderful. Where's your poetry ?
A good point John. Does it need anything after it?
