Moving to Uplands Road - train noise? Industrial estate concerns?
Hi all! We are moving to Crouch End area, most likely Uplands Road, and I wanted to ask about train noise. Is it clearly audible from the Weston Park side ? Do you they run late at night and early morning?
Also, I gather that the garden backs up to the industrial estate - is that noisy or of concern to any

I cannot comment on the Industrial Estate but the railway is the East Coast Main Line from King's Cross to Leeds/Hull/York/Newcastle/Edinburgh with commuter trains to Hertford North/Welwyn Graden City/King's Lynn/Peterborough. The Great Northern commuter trains' depot is on the other side of the line and a new Thameslink train depot is opening next to it. Then there are the freight trains. So you can expect train movements 24/7 I'm afraid.

That shouldn't stop anyone moving in if they like the area Glenn.
The homes are solid and the trains were a good deal noisier a hundred and so years ago!
