Hi Claire

If its a one off occasion or a birthday party etc I would not say anything even if it carries on until the early hours of the morning. 

If it happens regularly you should probably say something by 11pm. 

If it keeps on happening notify the council.

Thanks for these replies. The music finished about half-hour later.

It's caused by my next-door  neighbours son...30ish....who always put it on very loud when his parents are not in. Sometimes it's quite late though.

Talk to his parents! Even a 30 ish son will not want a telling off from his parents..
