The FT think that because of Theresa May's city background she's an excellent choice to be the Brexit PM:
In any case, the key point we’re trying to make is that Theresa May is a payments and liquidity geek. And that — given the eurozone repercussions of Brexit and Italy’s growing bank problems — makes her arguably extremely well placed for the PM Brexit job.

Very good article. Going to be crucial as to how well she & Merkel get on re negotiating the UK's new relationship with Europe. Both tough but pragmatic it seems.

It didn't say much on her record of endorsing every policy of cutting funds for our public services and endorsing tax breaks for the wealthy.
Under May there was a reduction of 18,000 police officers and 5,000 community support officers.
Will the NHS be any safer under May than it was under David 'there will be not top down reorganisation of the NHS' Cameron?

I'm optimistic. She stood up to the US State Department over Gary McKinnon and was the woman who called them "the nasty party" in 2002 when she was chairman. She's had to do a lot of "joining the mean kids" since then but has a quite startling manifesto so far.

May stood up to the US state department over Gary Mckinnon though its a pity she didn't do the same for another young man with Asbergers who was extradited after 6 years in prison in the UK without trial before spending 3 years mostly in solitary in a US jail until he made a plea bargain in order to return home to London. http://freetalha.org/about/
Yes she has some good policies but 'fine words butter no parsnips!' Remember when David Cameron was elected everything was going to be 'green', we were told to 'hug a hoody', the NHS is 'safe in my hands', there will be a Northern 'powerhouse', he was going to turn his back on divisive policies associated with Thatcher and categorically was not going to raise VAT .
He did support gay marriage to his credit but look what has happened to the NHS, to education, and the years of cuts and stagnation to no avail, the country is more divided than ever, we are going out of Europe and the UK may split, so no, having May as our unelected PM does not fill me with hope.

I am not saying that she will be more socialist because of who she is (that would be mad) I am saying that circumstances and the policies of the opposition party will influence her. It's already happening, read this:

And these bear the same relationship to McDonnell’s as Melania Trump’s did to Michelle Obama’s. In abandoning Osborne’s target of a budget surplus, and demanding worker-directors, more housebuilding, more infrastructure spending and an activist industrial policy, Ms May has appropriated McDonnell’s ideas."

Two weeks ago he was saying it wasn't going to happen. But I guess, he's just swinging (meant in the nicest possible way) with the markets.
Turning the country's economy from being an international delicatessen back into Florrie Lindley's corner shop is going to be a challenge.. and of course, the chinese are definitely going to drive by to buy your tea bags..

Theresa May just got called A Red Tory at their manifesto launch. With her intended theft of property wealth (death tax) for those cared for in their own homes by the state she really is a socialist.
And I say this again, ONLY BECAUSE SHE'S UP AGAINST JEREMY CORYBN!
