Unfair to blame the Council - they don't drop the syringes or litter. Any time I have notified them ( not complained ) they have acted the same day.
When I called the Council and mentioned syringes they promised they would be cleared within four hours. I didn't check but they were certainly gone the next day.
In the mid-90s, the old playground in Ducketts Common always had syringes lying around. Things have improved tremendously since then so I hope we aren't sliding back to the bad old days.
Does this mean that Haringay has surplus housing?
Hi Danni, Thank you for your post and your concern about the park. As part of the Friends of Fairland Park group its really helpful to have others also keeping an eye out on the park and reporting issues to the council. I hope they respond and clean the hazardous litter asap. If you would like to come along to a Friends of Fairland Park meeting please do let me know and I will let you know the date and time. We focus on community events to enable as many people to enjoy the park as possible and also try to ensure the council continues its duty to keep the park safe, clean and with complete play equipment and it would be great to have new members ;-) Any support park users can give in picking up (safe) litter is appreciated by our whole community (Thanks Justin!). Fingers crossed Haringey provide a speedy response to your report. Many thanks, Anna
