The Hijacking of the tram was also the subject of a 'silent' film.

I have seen a clip of it - but unfortunately it wasn't filmed in Tottenham but on Mitcham Common between Mitcham and Croydon.

P.S. I think the electric trams were the fastest things on the road in 1909.. although I imagine it must have been difficult to hijack one, especially if the tracks didn't go where they wanted to.
