Tooth implant
I am in need of a tooth implant due to some unfortunate dental work in the past and am very nervous after the last dentist can anyone recommend a good dentist who has done an implant for them and maybe tell me it's not too awful and painful ! Thanks in advance

I don't that would be brilliant if I lived nearer to Bath it must b a good place to have them done. When you say get on a plane I have heard a bit about implants being done in Hungry very well I am too worried to go abroad after all he things you hear about it going wrong

I was once on holiday near Varna in a hotel that had a bang up to date resident dental practice. I met Germans there who were staying for a week to get their teeth fixed. They saw it as a free holiday.
I didn't need a dentist on that occasion but later, when working in Albania in 2009, I did go a local dentist. She spoke very little English but in the course of four sessions she carried a triple canal and fitted a ceramic crown (made to order in Italy). The entire course of treatment cost precisely 120 Euros and the crown is still going strong.

Wow that's really good and for such a low price a crown here would probably be well over £300

had mine done by EugeneI Marias, who was very good. He's a specialist.
I remember being surprised by how quick and painless the procedure was.
It required three appointments if I recall correctly.

So I did a search -http://thedentalimplantclinic.com/ This is the place in Bath.
£2000 a tooth implant, subsided because its a teaching place.
No idea if it's any good. I'm sure my own dentist who reckons it's £2500 a tooth but that was a few years ago, would tell me to stick with them. I have four wobbly dodgy teeth which I'm hanging onto as long as I can.

Oh that's more than I thought even London prices I was thinking £1,500 oh dear. Just think tho you must be careful what you eat with wobbly teeth then after having it sorted it will be Bliss eating anything you like after its like having a baby I want the result but not the pain having to get it. Still it seems it might not be so awful after all apart from the money

I may not be able to get them as it's down to how good your gum bones are. I can't bear the idea of false teeth but it could end up as that or a bridge. Don't have eating problems, it's something for the future.

My dentist friend tells me the pain involved in having dental implants is not that bad. It's wherever you have live nerves still in your teeth that things get eye-watering. The nerves in your jaw bone aren't nearly as sensitive, so she says.....My own dentist has quoted me £3,000 for an implant to replace a large lost molar, but I'm finding I'm managing just fine with a gap. You can't see it so I'm not sure I'll bother.

My Dentist in Finsbury Park (Torrance Dental Care) quoted me £1,500, a couple of years ago.
Eugene was £2,500 but I got a discount as a friend of mine supplies him with the implants.
A tip for post implant care - when you finally have the crown fitted, don't chew gum for a day or so. I did & pulled the crown off
