Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Mayor of Haringey attends latest @FRAME_projects exhibition by @ParkView_school

Following from the huge success of the launch of the new public art space FRAME, Park View presents its second art exhibition in celebration of the students’ work produced in school.

The exhibition launched on Wednesday 27th April, and is located under Seven Sisters railway bridge on West Green Road.

Exhibiting her work was student Elena Antonova, who said,

"It was so exciting to see my work up in public - it's a pleasure for me to be one of the chosen students to have my work exhibited. It was so nice to see the other students there and to have their support. The best part was meeting the Mayor and speaking with her.”

FRAME is an artist project space run and curated by Artist and Park View Art teacher, Alexander Costello. It was developed in response to the desire and necessity to give students at Park View the real artist experience through the provision of a public platform and exhibition space that will recognise and appreciate the value and quality of artwork created in the classroom.

The Mayor of Haringey, Councillor Jennifer Mann, showed her support by attending the exhibition. The Mayor was delighted to be invited to such an extraordinary exhibition and looks forward to seeing the development of FRAME.

The current programme for FRAME is selected from a portfolio of work from the young artists at Park View School on a monthly rotation. The long term aim however, as the space expands its audience and reach, is to develop and showcase student projects in collaboration with neighbouring Haringey schools, as well as invite interventions and workshops from local and international artists, and exchange with universities.
