I am closing this thread. I started it with a list of some household stuff that we are clearing out, offering them for free. However, the discussion has been entirely hi-jacked by people posting about fly-tipping. Sorry.

John - Well, not judging by the prices they command on eBay. Also, this is not an Ercol chair - I've looked back through all their old models, and none is the same as this one. I was given it (after long use) by an aunt, back in 1979. It's similar to some sixties Ercol designs, but not Ercol.

In fact, I just checked on eBay, and chairs like the one I'm getting rid of, Ercol-style, in better condition go for around 30 pounds. Genuine Ercol, in good condition and a light wood finish, do go for a lot more.
