Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anybody know a Colin McTaggart ? A parcel arrived for him, addressed to 359 Wightman Rd but he doesn't live there. I'm guessing it's a broadband hub from Fuelbroadband.

He must have complained about non-receipt because a second, similar, parcel has arrived so the sender has the wrong address.

I could send them back but I would prefer, if possible, to redeliver them so as to avoid further delay.

Nobody ?

Send them back I suppose.

Short of a trip to the Civic Centre to examine the full Electoral Roll rather than the selective one sold to data companies, guess so. No guarantee of  course. I've done that to get the names of people with a similar house number just in case. 192.com gives no London hits.

Thanks Gordon. Must be near me with postcode N8 0NA. I think it unlikely they would get the number and the postcode wrong. I'll have a wander up the road to see if there are any names on the doors.

Seems a lot of effort when you could just return them. Mr McTaggart will probably have chased this and been sent a replacement by now.

As I said above, he has already chased it and the replacement has been sent to the same incorrect address.

Also, it was delivered by carrier and I don't know what the procedure is for returns. If they come to pick them up, ( and why should they since it's not their fault the address is wrong ) do I have to stay in all day ?

Oh yeah, sorry! Well the Postal Services Act which makes opening someone else's post illegal doesn't apply to courier deliveries so I'd be tempted to open the parcel. Must have a delivery note inside....
