What's the most interesting place to eat in the area? Graze or dinne? Tapas or full blown 3 course?
Has to have
1: interesting / really nice interior / atmosphere
2. Great food & decent wines
3. Great service
4 Reasonable prices
5. Family friendly
To start the ball rolling..
TRAMP - Green Lanes (opp Harringay Green Lane station). Recently voted as one of the "top 5 most interesting interiors". Just hired a great new chef. Great for special occasions.
HABERDASHERY - Middle Lane, Crouch End - great Cafe, previous winner of best London cafe.
BEAM - Tottenham Lane, Crouch End - quirky, great range of food from snacks to meals. Not open at night though. Also a winner of best London cafe.
TOOTOOMOO - Crouch End - best pan Asian in area - eat in or take-a-way (look out for discount ads on this site by the way.
OHBA LEAF - Crouch End - highly acclaimed Japanese restaurant on Tottenham Lane.
SEASONS - Stroud Green - only serves food in season, big on ethics, very cosy.
IL PICCOLO DIAVOLO - Stroud Green (by Crouch Hill station) - lovely Italian in the Italian quarter. A real discovery place.

Love this thread!
Pappagone's can't be beat on value, atmosphere & creative ice-cream dishes (for children AND adults), Season is great but I wouldn't go with really young children, The Westbury pub is great, Tootoomoo (natch), Victoria Stakes, & a curve ball as I haven't been for a while....Triangle on Ferme Park Road.
Blimey, Triangle is still going. Remember it from at least 15 years ago. It was great then. Good to hear it's still happening. Lots of restaurants could learn from such places, including Tramp.
Where nobody spoke Spanish when I went, hoping to give a Colombian friend a treat
It would have been nice if the waitress had recognised the names of the dishes, yes
I agree, the food was tasty.
I've noticed this too! It's a nice enough place though, and quite generous portions.
