Cute. Looks similar to mine. Wonder if they would get on?

Yes she looks very young and pretty.

I'm not sure if my cat would like her. Could try.

Thanks Justin. I don't know the detail on this cat as I was publicising her as found in case anyone recognised her.

I'll see if Ella from Stokey Cats and Dogs knows the current situation.

OK

This cat is currently with RSPCA. Their policy is that all stray cats with FIV virus are being put down. Unfortunately I don't know if this cat has been diagnosed FIV+ or not. RSPCA gives 7 days for an owner to come forward. After that cats are euthanized or send to a re-homing center (depends on their health issues). I'll try my best to find out what's the situation and will post an update as soon as I know something.

REALLY? They put healthy cats down with FIV? Astonishing.

Only last week I managed to rescue one of our stray cats. He was due to be put down only because he was FIV+ and not chipped. Someone brought him as a stray and if I didn't call persistently every rescue he wouldn't be with us any longer.

Thanks Ella.

I hope the cat's ok.

I always get worried if a found cat or dog is taken to the RSPCA. I note that this cat was found on 26th Jan so I guess 7 day period expires today.

If only everyone would microchip and neuter their pets - it's simple really and it's the responsible thing to do. People who don't bother are putting their pets at risk of being put down. Neutering is vital to prevent the rise in more homeless animals being born.
