"How do I..?" Got any questions about how to use the site?
Whether you are new to the site or have been around for a bit, maybe you have a question about how to do something on the site.
For example, if you tried to add a photo avatar to your profile and failed, despite uploading and clicking done, could it be that you haven't scrolled all the way down to the bottom of your profile settings page and clicked 'Save'?
Or you would really like to start a discussion but are not sure how? Quickest way is to hover your cursor over the Forum tab and click New Post when it appears.
If you've got a question for site admin about the site, pop it in this post and we'll see if we can answer. You never know, your burning question (and hopefully our answer) could help others navigate the site too.

There is also the Site Feedback group where you can pop questions throughout the year.

Good idea for a post.
I'll kick off then ... when I upload photos they usually come out bigger than I want them to be, other people manage to crop them somehow. How do I do that!? Take a look at flower of the month for December for an illustration.

Great question Alison. Uploading big pictures can make a page very slow to load and also uses up our allocation of space at Ning.
REsizing is pretty easy. I use Photoshop, but not everyone has that. You should, however, have Microsoft Picture Manager which has a resize option. - Picture - Resize - then you can choose a %ge reduction. Anything above about 150k is probably too big.

Is there any where that I can find all the new forum posts since my last visit? Ive seen that function on other forums, and its really handy.

There's no 'flagging' system as there are on some forums, but if you go to the Forum tab and click on the the drop down 'Sort by' menu, there is a Newest discussions option which will present the newer postings first.

Is it possible to open Photo Albums to allow people other the 'Owner of the Album' to post photographs?
