We normally go to the Devonshire in Crouch End for Sunday Lunch, but my wife is fed up with the vegetarian option and would like a change. Anyone recommend a decent veg option? Can travel.....

I'd recommend the Salisbury's if it's as good as it was when I last visited a few months back. Not the best roast you'll have ever had, but ticks all the boxes and has lots of tasty trimmings. The 'main event' is (I think) nut roast which I personally prefer to the pies or portobello mushroom abominations you get presented with in some restaurants, but YMMV.
Does anywhere else in Harringay do roasts these days? I'm not sure there is anywhere else since the Garden Ladder went away, they used to do a Sunday lunch buffet.
Another good one if you don't mind getting down to Islington is the Island Queen - really good food.
Yes we went to the Salisbury and wife reports excellent nut roast. Indeed the whole meal was very well cooked with vegetables perfectly done.....
Ooh that's good to hear! I will have to go back very soon...
I second that! Had my first nut roast there last Sunday and it was lovely. I'll be going again!

Nice place, haven't tried the food yet but it looks good.
I can testify to Karamel being outstanding! Amazing veggie (vegan) roasts on a Sunday plus club nights etc - all drinks veggie-friendly too.
