It's now two years since it was announced that " Haringey (is) to become Britain's first electric bike borough".

I can't find any recent about the scheme. Has anything happened? Is it still going to happen?
Well recalled: perhaps it was filed under 'too hard' - or (to be fair) 'too expensive' - cycle rechargeable batteries cost several hundred pounds.
TfL put the contract out to tender earlier this year, bids up to an eyewatering £50m:

More worrying for me is that in the two years since this scheme was announced absolutely nothing has been done to make Haringey a safer place in which to cycle. Indeed, even now the council are continuing to design roads and junctions (i.e. Park Rd x Priory Road N8) as if people on bikes don't exist. The worrying prospect is novice riders on powered bikes being expected to cope with Haringey's roads as they currently are. But of course it's the hills that put people off, not the hostile roads, right?!?
Thanks Grant
Looks like it's going ahead then, though I have to agree that there are better ways of improving the cycling infrastructure for that amount of money. I would hope that it is doable towards the lower end of the £3m -50m range. Still, cycling up Mussy doesn't get any easier with my advancing years, and with the added incentive of the new Wetherspoons at the top, I expect to be an 'early adopter'!
