Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

...on Harringay road, near the west green road junction. I attach a photo I just took. Where are all these colourful Muriel's coming from? There's a big bird (a crow, I think) next to Cilla under some scaffolding. I think the crow may have featured on HOL before, but I didn't know where it was. I feel that there is a lot of potential to brighten up the neighbourhood. Something under our grubby supposedly regenerated bridge on green lanes might be a good start. Would any community art organisation be interested in taking this on? Any thoughts.?

Yeah, Muriel was Cilla's younger sister. She didn't hit it lucky like Cilla, so she became a clippie on the Liverpool buses instead. I think she deserves a Magpie Mural, don't you?

Hilda Ogden had a Muriel in her living room at 13 Coronation Street and if it was good enough for Hilda, it's good enough for me.

The Murals are done by TAG: The Turnpike Art Group. They crowdsource money for the materials, Mural Materials.

Something like this wonderful thing in Wuppertal

Like that

But what would Brian Sewell say about it all?

Something pithy with strangled vowels I would imagine

LOL...as he would not say!
