The ladder is a very "long" place and I think it's tricky to do stuff like this away from the central "family" area between the schools.
Yes Alan had one of the best stalls - so many beautifully made products to choose from - we've put up the bee & bughouse already - glad we got one for a friend as well, makes a great present. Plus we've already planted the marigolds under our street trees!
hzonestly it couldnt have been a worst day weather wise- your stall was amazing- gazeebo was def the way forward- What a fantastic idea, and I know in my brief chat with Nuala, she mentioned maybe sept- please, I like the sound of the cakes etc..
Well done all of you who persevered the weather and set up anyway- sorry i never made it further than fairfax road, as it had been so dead up there, thought that was it
Despite the rain, we got some bargains yesterday - toys, books, plants, a bug house from Alan, lots of nice cake and biscuits, and even a free Cluedo game (thank you to the women in Burgoyne Rd who donated this to my kids who spent the afternoon losing to their Dad at it). Also a really good way to meet the neighbours.
Part of the problem with the ends was not knowing if people were out or not in the rain. We stopped at Beresford as we were getting quite soaked. Bargain hunters were swapping tips as to who was open and Lauren's expert use of social media was helpful, also people who put up signs at the Harringay Passage junction helped us to find the ones at the far ends of roads. For the next one, all of these actions could help drive people to the stalls, I think. We'd certainly have walked further even in the rain if we could have been sure of finding a stall.
