Thanks. Indeed very short notice. What have they themselves done to publicise this?

Meanwhile Marcus Garvey Library in Tottenham is apparently displaying notices saying it will shortly be closed for six months for 'refurbishment'.  This is before any plans for the 22-storey Apex tower have been published, they are due in September is the latest claim.  Just because the Council has agreed to sell* that bit of land to Grainger which will necessitate the decanting of the Apex House Customer Services into the library, doesn't automatically mean they will be able to go ahead, surely?  There is the planning procedure to go through, and the possibility of judicial review, or maybe Grainger will just implode out of sheer hubris. Nothing is final, yet. There's just a smidgeon of democratic process left.

For both Wood Green and Marcus Garvey, the Council is proclaiming this as an advantage, as improvements to the library service.   But what has paying my parking tickets in that building have to do with a Library service? Is anyone being taken in by this extreme spin?

* 0.4 hectare of prime brownfield land within 20 yards of one of the best tube lines in London - for £3.4million, secret deal, no tender.

Good question. Not sure anyone has said. Worth dropping a line to your local cllr ?

Is there room for a small tower block?
