Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Freedom of taking photos in public places is under attack. Until now, in most countries in Europe you were safe to take and publish photographs e.g. of the 'London Eye', that are taken from public ground – This is called Freedom of Panorama. This is being challenged by a proposal going through the EU on July 9th 2015. Instead of bringing the Freedom of Panorama to all EU countries the new law proposes to  take this freedom from the countries where it exists e.g. the UK.

Censored: The Automium monument blacked-out in photo because there is no 'freedom of panorama' in Belgium Censored: The Automium monument blacked-out in photo because there is no 'freedom of panorama' in Belgium. (From-  http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/new-eu-proposal-coul...  )

While this may effect travel photographers primarily it will have knock on effects such as street photography or publishing photos on HoL etc.

Not true..  Yet another Daily Mail Lie British Legend about the EU.  The freedom to take photos remains.

But you won't be able to take photos, for instance of other people's homes, to make money from them. I'm sure you wouldn't want that anyway.

Thanks for filling in the gaps there, but tar ye not the whole of Britian, son of JR!

It's the ATOMIUM by the way
