I know this is being discussed in another current thread, but can we have a dedicated thread for the new fish and chip shop opening on Green Lanes near Harringay Green Lanes station? Yes, we can. Not least because it looks quite big and interesting, eg, restaurant and takeaway.
Pav I am stealing your photo from today. Hope you don't mind.
Toffs in Muswell Hill - not worth the trip (IMHO)
George's - OK (ditto)
Priory Fish Bar - OK (ditto)
New one that might be called Hashtag Fish and Chips - fish fingers crossed that it's excellent.
I really am quite excited.

I dropped in to say hi to Halil But didn't eat as my other half is not a fishunchippist. Nice job on the decor, and it smelt good. I can't wait to try it!
Popped in after work last night to grab a takeaway. Staff were very friendly, nice décor and food was ok, plenty of Chips and Mushy Peas! I am sure there are a few minor problems which will need to be ironed out, but it was the first night and I wish the staff and management all the very best.
I went in a got a takeaway. Staff were lovely, it was quite crowded but I was in and out with chips in 5 minutes. Nice range of stuff on the menu if you want, but I just got chips (and a gherkin). £1.90 for a 'small portion' - which more than enough chips. The chips were fine - not the best I've ever had but good, definitely worth £1.90. I used to live next to Georges and it was great but sadly over the last year or so when I've been in for chips they've been a pallid disappointment, on first impressions this place is better (if you can ignore the terrible name).
We don't want a Bob Dylan anecdote! We have real stories of Bob Hope, Paul Robseon, Alicia Markova, Barabara Windsor and God knows who else.
Past that you gotta work for it - look through all the histpry stuff. It's all there.
