Hi Sarah, 

We're in the same boat! I posted a few weeks back about the possibility of sharing a child carer / nanny. My son is the same age as you, and we're looking at options around here.

Why don't you drop me a line and we can chat? Even if we don't end up going ahead with the child minder, would be nice to share info about the nurseries and other options in the neighbourhood.

Hi Sarah, If you go to the ladder children's centre they have a list of all the registered childminders in the area, you could start with that, they also have the ofsted ratings for the minders on the same list. The ladder children's centre and woodlands park both have stay and play for parents and childminders, so you might find someone you like there as well. But if you are interested in the nanny share, then it seems like a good option to contact Marion...

Marion, I was thinking of getting a nanny share for my daughter, starting in May (she'll be 9 months then), the only problem is, we just need one day a week - thursday or friday (preferably thursday), would this work for you? I also know of one other lady on my street with a daughter the same age, who is looking for childcare, so she may be interested as well.

Hello,

I am looking for a chilminder too. I am just about to start as i would go back to work in May/June as well. My son will be a year old then.
Good tip to get the list at the ladder, i will definetly do that.
Do you have any other suggestions or recommendations?

Hi Sara, are you still looking for childcare? We live on the ladder and have a nanny M-Wed and are looking for a family to share the nanny with. Do contact me if this is of interest?

I will go back to work Monday to Wednesday too. So i guess it would not be possible to share the nanny.
Also i am ideally looking for a childminder but i am open to options.

Hi Sara, we are looking for a family to share the nanny with on the same days as us - ie the nanny would look after both children on the same days. Our son is nearly one.

Hi Victoria, thanks for your reply, but this is a really old post. I was looking for childcare last March and have since returned to work, had another baby and am now on maternity leave again until November! Good luck with your search. I found my childminder in the end, via a list that Haringay Children's centre give out.
