Its snowing in the Alps, and we have some availability in March and Mid April at our 8bed apartment in Argentiere (Chamonix Valley). I have just reduced the prices for the next few weeks.
The apartment sleeps 8 with 2 double rooms and a bunk room for 4. It has an open fire and stunning views of the Mont Blanc Massif, along the whole valley. Some pics below to give you an idea of the views from the large terrace and the location itself. It is less than 5 minutes from the Grand Montets cable car with the highest and arguably the best skiing in the Chamonix Valley.
If you fancy a last minute break please get in touch. I am happy to discuss a large discount to the normal prices.
Thinking further ahead, if anyone is thinking about skiing or walking in the alps in the winter or spring/summer do feel free to get in touch, I would be happy to talk to you about whether you would like to use the place.
Also- I have run this by Hugh already, and in recognition that this is a blatant piece of advertising of our apartment on HOL, I am happy to make a donation to HOL's ongoing running costs if someone takes the apartment via HOL. Hopefully many of you will know me as a Harringay local, and a long time contributor to HOL.

Ben, its stunning. I first came into Argentiere in my early 20s when I was helping to lead groups of 6th formers around the Tour de Mont Blanc. I fell in love with the area and if I am honest we love the place as much for the summer as the winter.
Bearing in mind it is an alpine area, by far and away the most significant activity is alpine walking. I was worried my kids (10 and 6) would not take to it, but I am happy to say they have adapted well and love the hills. I can give you several fantastic walks you can easily do with a 5 year old. Thankfully the chair lifts make a big difference and take a lot of the hard work out of it if you want to get higher up into the hills. I took the kids to a stunning alpine animal park in the summer. I was amazed at how great it was, and the kids were able to get up close to animals you would often be lucky to see only at a distance (though the lama was a bit random…). There is also the rack train up to the Mer de Glace glacier which is a great day out.
We actually have a swimming pool in the grounds of the apartment, it is heated in July and August- the kids love it. There is also a large pool complex in town.
I will drop you a line, not sure if you have my personal details but I can give you a bell and we can have a chat and I can send you some pics.
Justin's promised an anonymous donation of £5,000. So come on folks get renting.
erm, isn't that a bit contradictory? wouldn't appear to be very anonymous
And does it mean that the rental cost is more than £5k?
The contradiction was intended to provide a clue to the levity of my comment.
Hugh, you need to use those emoticon things…
