Harringay's food diversification continues. Whilst the future of the Vietnamese seems to hang in the balance, work is well under way on Harringay's first Indian restaurant in a couple of decades and over the weekend I learned that we'll be getting a fish and chips shop soon.
The owner of Rakkas just opposite McDonalds has acquired the neighbouring two premises (polish deli and hairdresser as was) and is fitting them out for a fish and chips restaurant.
More as I learn more.

I hope it will be cheaper than Toffs Looked in there yesterday evening and decided to wait until I got to George's Hornsey.
Hopefully Harringay's fish & chips shop will reflect the urban nature of Harringay vs what I think of as Muswell Hill's rather suburban feel.
Best at Whitby, I'd advise based on experience.
Im guessing if its a double shop and for the price the shops would have cost to either rent or buy the owner will have a large fish and chip restaurant - a bit like FISH AND CHIPS @LONDONROAD in enfield with a small takeaway on the side. with the train station nearby and all the other restaurants in the area I'm sure this will work! also its a change from the regular souvlaki or turkish doner served in green lanes!
