One of those completely representative polls commissioned by a reputable research establishment ('cough') and reported by that most neutral of papers, but I rather like the thought that the 'ole man' is going to get even more romantic as he gets older.

"By the time a man reaches his fifties he has a wealth of experience under his belt ....". Is this metaphor or anatomical description? Is the researcher's 'romance' and 'surprise' (vb. & n.) just euphemism for a bit o'the other?

Shite! so that's why she asked me on my 65th whether I wanted to be buried or cremated.
