They look cheap and nasty like the ones before. What is the problem in getting proper Sheffield stands?
Aaaaand they're the SAME, only this time in stainless steel.
And they're installed at right angles. They HAVE TO BE AT 45 DEGREES OR PARALLEL.
5 seconds of googling gets you THIS;

NONE OF THESE HAVE SQUARE CORNERS. Take them out.
No, tell you what, I know nothing about bicycle racks, give me the money, I'll do a better job. WHY IS THIS SO HARD?
Not a fashion statement though, is it Michael?!
Apart from safety, another advantage of those generously rounded corners is that the provide a better range of angle/attack from which to attach a lock. Those concerned only with appearance or who may not have used a bicycle stand, might not appreciate that.
Ah Michael, not all councillors are familiar with Wightman Road!
Wood Green High St has some nice looking and functional stainless steel ones;

See how they are installed at 45 degrees to the pavement edge.
This situation is depressing.
Why does the middle one only have one cross-piece? That only gives one option of places to lock to. Every ful kno that you are meant to lock a bike with two different types of lock. Thieves only carry the tools to cut one type, d-lock or cable. Never both. See, I've read all the advice.
