Hi
The hot water in my shower has become unpredictable recently. I get some hot water for a little bit then it starts to get cool and then warms up a bit again and so on. I have it turned up to the maximum on the temperature control but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Has anyone else experienced this? Hope someone can help as I really like steaming hot showers not lukewarm ones - particularly when it's this cold!!!

Yes Philip - it's a shower attached to the bath - straight from a boiler.
It might be water pressure got too low on your boiler - check the dial on your boiler. Usually on a combi, you have to raise it once a year as it can drop. It's easy to do yourself.
Thanks Justine. I will give that a go as I haven't done it a while. I really hope that will do the trick as I'm really not enjoying taking a shower at the moment!!!
Justine thanks for your tip!! It seems to have done the trick!! I am so glad it wasn't something more complicated than that!!!
It's not from the mixer tap on the bath. There's a separate shower control. The hot water in the kitchen seems ok but it's hard to say because I don't leave the hot water running for as long and can't tell if it's not getting as hot
Combi boilers usually have a thermal cutout which kicks in at low flow-rates to stop the water getting too hot - perhaps the flow-rate for your shower is (sometimes) lower than that? Certainly my hot kitchen tap runs hot then cold then hot if I turn it down low, as does my shower. Perhaps in this case more IS more?
