Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I need to get my hands on a few traffic cones for next week to hold some space outside my house. Parking is easy(Langham Road) so no pressure from neighbours. Anyone got any lying around or suggest a source. Many thanks.

Don't you know any students ?

Last time I looked there were about 10 of them in the art installation outside the Salisbury.

Plenty knocking about Chestnuts Park.

Cheers will have a look tomorrow!

Philip I have some you can borrow. Will message you.

Whatever happened the grand old art of improvisation?  Neighbour's bin, your own, a food bucket or two, a length of string or barbed/razor wire.

Hi Phil

I have two in the front garden you can have.

If you really want the parking space and don't want to annoy anybody... and don't mind paying, you can do a bay suspension through the council.

Is it just me who thinks it's a bit cheeky to put cones down where you want to park? What's to stop someone from just moving them?
So it has more of a psychological effect? Like painting a white circle around a tenner. No-one would take it.;-)

Our neighbours just sent their kids to lift ours from the front garden, now they seem to use it to park their oversized vehicle right outside their house every day...

Aren't cones council property? Well roads certainly are. You can't just put obstructions on a public road and claim it as your space as if you privately own it...can you? We can seldom park by our flat even though we pay to park on our street. We have to suck it up.
