Recommended restaurants for vegetarians and meat eaters who like to eat together
Inspired by a couple of posts on the Bun and Bar thread, I thought it would be nice to collect a list of local places where both vegetarians and meat eaters feel well catered for.
I'll start with:
El Bottelon, the tapas bar on on the High Road a few doors up from Tesco. A tapas place so it's easy to get a mix of veggie and meat dishes. Loads of vegetarian choices, and each one we have had is delicious. I especially rate the stuffed peppers. As a couple we go for 4 veggie plus one meat, and speaking as the meat eater I've never felt short changed.
San Marco. The longstanding Bruce Grove Italian. Always reliable, but used to be only for the nights when you could devote pretty much all evening to dinner. Since they started doing pizza it's practical for can't-face-cooking weekdays as well. The more I go to places that promise "wow" but deliver "meh", the more I appreciate that San Marco quietly and consistently gets neighborhood Italian right.
Jai Krishna, Turnpike Lane. Totally vegetarian, but so yummy I defy anyone to miss meat here!

We used to live in Finsbury Park about 8 years ago and visited the Stroud Green JK fairly often.
We only got round to trying the Turnpike Lane one this year but I thought it was just as good as I remember the Stroud Green Road one being, so perhaps there has been an improvement recently.

This thread is great, thank you everyone, I sometimes struggle as a veggie taking my friends places (although I think the food at Jai Shri really is brilliant, the lunchtime thali is a fantastic deal).
There are a couple of Caribbean places that do a nice veggie option but they're more of a takeaway really although Yum Yum on Lymington Avenue does have seating.
In terms of other takeaways (going off topic a bit these are my two "go to" places I like Fresh Roll on Park Road and Amigos on Holloway Road as they do loads of great veggie food.
