How do I get rid of IOS 8 from my iPad?

I stupidly downloaded this the other day and have had nothing but problems since. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it and roll back to the previous version?

It's better than it was but I still get intermittent problems. The text on the screen when I type (like now) can be delayed. Also it's slow in picking up Internet signals. The hand gesture stuff, like closing a page, is still hit and miss.
