We've recently started using Uber.......which is fantastic - really great value and efficient. No need for cash as you set up a payment through card.
App shows shows you exactly where the driver is at any given point too.

If you take uber, make sure you keep an eye on where they are going. An unfortunately clueless Australian friend of mine ended up in Heath Row, Bishops Stortford on his way from Walthamstow to LHR (see his tweet at the time)

I have never had a problem with Golden Cars next to the Beaconsfield. I used to do lots of airport runs and pick ups, now just do the occasional trip, and they have never let me down.

Same here, they were late for our airport run, they even sent a smaller car and couldnt get cases in then had to wait for a larger people carrier. Then he was so slow n the road, even on the motorway to Gatwick. They even stiched us up on the cost as well.. never again will i use them.

We had the same issue twice with Harringay Cars too. I no longer use them for the airport. We have used Yellow Cars on the last two occasions.

Our experience with Haringey Cars has been very good. We have used them a lot since around 1996, both for my wife and me, and also for moving around my wife's elderly (and now departed) mother, who needed a wheelchair to get around outside her flat. The drivers are almost always reliable, considerate and friendly. Of course, we have had the odd problem over the years (after all, a lot of trips over 18 years), but in general we've found them very good. I'm sorry to hear other people have had problems with them.

I thought we were the only ones to feel that way
Terrible service, we had a terrible journey to Victoria station, never made it in fact. Cars always stink of smoke and drivers are reckless and do not know proper routes. very disappointed.
