Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Rumours have been around for a while of an Indian restaurant opening on the Lanes. I was very happy to learn today that the rumours appear to be true.

The currently unoccupied premises between RMVF and Harringay Foods is due to open as an Indian restaurant in December / January. About bloody time too!

Pretty soon, I can't see any reason to go elsewhere for food

coming soon. 473 Green Lanes

Is it your restaurant Mohammed?

"Harringay" already had a very fine Indian restaurant. I think you mean "Green Lanes". :)

For me, and I think the vast majority of people, Turnpike Lane isn't Harringay. So, no, I meant what I said - but very happy for Jashan to get a plug.

Really. I always wondered about that, but given the Sheldon looks so crumby I have always thought better of taking the risk. Has anyone been in and actually tried it???

All about local hotels here.

It's the reviews that get me.

Where is it? Hornsey Park?

According to people asked in my wee study, it's in a neighbourhood called Turnpike Lane.

For myself, I think of it as simply a street called Turnpike Lane, located between Wood Green, Hornsey and Harringay. (I'm not seeking to give a definitive answer, just sharing my mental geography).

Where do you think of it as being located?

Not sure, but it has to be within one boundary or another. All the street signs say "Hornsey Park" in that area, including Turnpike Lane. As you know, many people describe the top bit of the Ladder as Hornsey.

BTW - I've read that a Starbucks is opening somewhere near or on Turnpike Lane. It must be on the up.
