New trendy Polish restaurant about to open next to Yasar Halim
Brouhaha doing great guns next door
Passion Cafe with a great new Chef (old Carpet Shop)
New American style Bar and Burger place on the corner (old Obergine) about to open
The inimitable 'Blend' cafe further up
Jam in a Jar bar, food and music venue - now well established
and probably others I've missed...
Next it'll be a delicatessen and a Waitrose....
No complaints provided we don't replace the Mediterranean buzz of Green Lanes with a scene that aspires to Crouch End (& priced accordingly)!

I would not live in Stoke Newington if you paid me. Saints preserve us from the Stokenewingtonisation of Harringay! At least in Crouch End you are not forced to wear trustifarian dreadlocks and leather shoes are not banned

Hey Duncan, I too just moved to Seven Sisters for the same reasons and really hope things pick up like they have in Green Lanes! :)

I just think this thread is hilarious - especially if anyone really thinks that a place like "Passion Cafe" is a sign of gentrification
And as a happy N15 resident I'd take Stokenewingtonisation over Crouchendisation every day.
