Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Good morning Holers ! Salut les copains !

It’s nice to be back and see and read all about the same or new problems : rubbish all over the place, stinking dustbins, ex-offenders neighbors still on the look out for a quick crime in our street, an elephant sollicitor sign decorating Green Lanes (23 years ago, we demonstrated and went to meetings to keep this famous site, to no avail of course...) buses and lorries ramming down pavements and roads, pre-organised fancy Council meetings, Finsbury Park overun by noise and other... C’est la merde ! One would think that everything is bad here... But, nice seing good neighbors, Holers at the top of their form, London in bloom, colours everywhere, nice welcome at Selale, resident magpie on my window sill and the most exiting of all : the Tour de France is here ! I am off to see it, wearing my yellow cap, T-shirt and yellow umbrella, all items bought on previous Tours de France ! And, after what happened to me last week in la belle France, it’s not so bad around here ...
