A worthy apprentice to Cllr Peacock.

Gentrification is getting rid of your IKEA furniture and replacing with Homebase.

Furniture? You've got furniture? In Tottenham we have cardboard boxes....

But bought in Habitat, presumably. Sooooo sixties

Wow - no wonder you predicted a need to take cover! A great 'debate', apart from a few sanctimonious insults.

I think most of the ground has been covered but my long held fear is what will happen to 'Londoners' as a whole with house prices and rent being out of reach for a huge number of people? I already know young people born in Haringey who have moved (forced) out - one example is my neighbour's son who has worked hard to gain 2 degrees and is now a podiatrist for the NHS! I believe there is a real danger of this so called great city of ours facing collapse within a generation (or less) as those providing essential services can no longer afford to live and work in London unless they live on the streets. I'd like to think this looming time bomb will provide a vehicle to pay people decent wages, but I won't be holding my breath!

It's getting to the stage now, where even 2 bedroom character houses are approaching 500,000 in parts of Tottenham ? Not a bad result, but hopefully they'll go up just a bit more.

but then you need ££ more to move out - unless you're going for the tent on Tottenham Marshes.  Nobody wins.

How about a cottage in Kent ?

Unless you're a millionaire it's a very bad result.  Are you?

Isn't everyone just about a property millionaire these days ?

What planet do YOU live on David ?

In property, obviously not in cash. Without BS, honestly these days there must be tens of thousands in that position. As anyone that reads a paper would surely know ?
