Lots of people without gardens would like to be able to use the park!
Are you addressing these comments to me, Mike? Bit personal.I heard the sound check loud and clear, and once I realised what was going on I was fine with it.The sound check only lasted an hour or so. I must say that Ive heard more disturbing things whilst living in n15, All night 'dead yards' (jamaican funerals) are not much fun to listen to at 4 in the morning, nor all night raves from the Warehouses. from what i gather from this thread, the sound check was about getting the noise levels right for the event in the hope of keeping disturbance to a minimum. there is a number to complain to and other info from Zena and Hugh. also, chin up, its not just the Arctic Monkeys who are playing. you might hear something you like!
No its not personally addressed to you, unless you wish to take it personally. Its addressed to anyone who thinks its ok to have a rock concert of that size in a park next to a residential area. The fact that I can't stand The A Ms just makes the experience even more unpleasant.
PS I have complained - even though I realise that it is unlikely to make a blind bit of difference.
Hear, hear!
Silly, "laddish" lyrics; annoying accents. Loud and thrashy.
What's to like?
My kids thought it was well cool that they could hear the arctics playing. What a lot of boring old fuss. there are going to be enough people around this weekend to fill up Green lanes restaurants and pubs. pity i wont be here to hear them. off to my home town. up north where we have the best accents.
This concert is trampling all over people's right to enjoy their own space in relative peace and quiet and they are cheesed off about it. I don't think that is the same as 'grumpy'
