Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

That sound check is insane. The Arctic Monkeys are so rubbish. 3 days of it!

Is it just the direction of the wind or is that significantly louder than the Stone Roses?

If the noise is upsetting and disturbing you please make sure you formally complain. These are a record of how people feel and experience the concerts, and should be taken into consideration by the licensing officers and the local authority when they review how things went. They can measure sound levels so should be fully aware of the impact on you and if you can  hear it two miles away something needs checking.

From what I can recall the license was agreed on the basis of assurances from the promoters that they would be considerate and would manage all aspects of their event - noise, traffic, crowd management, toilets, clean up - properly.

If as residents you feel this is not the case you can call for a review of the license which the local authority is then obliged to undertake.

In other words, holding people to account is essential if things go wrong.

I was a member of Licensing and I would always advocate calling for a review if you have bad experiences with noise, rubbish, anti-social behaviour caused from an event or through a venue. The reviews I sat on were effective and enabled us to take more stringent action than we could when licensing applications were brought to the committee.

Cllr, St. Anns Ward till today ( or apparently till Sunday)

called this line and got no answer and then the line went dead. Helpful.

I guess one thing to remember is that its going to sound a lot louder in an empty park rather than when people are there.

Quite tempted to buy a ticket now

That might apply in a hall, but not in an open- air venue.

Also, pretty good for business on Green Lanes.

Sadly all the googling I did about it seemed to recommend Stroud Green Rd as the place to go after. E.g. this.

ah. depressing.

I could hear it nearly two miles away in Hornsey!
Sounds great on Lothair Road South!

I thought it was great too.... I plan on popping opening a few beers and enjoying in my garden.

That was seriously loud. We used to live half a mile closer to the park and it was never that loud. I don't mind the noise actually, mind the loss of access much more!
I really enjoyed it!
