Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Well, my first question is, 'are there any'? Last night, I went on a bat walk in Tottenham Cemetery and saw quite a few, which was good fun!

According to one bat enthusiast, he has bats in his garden (a semi in Bruce Grove - see www.streetmap.co.uk - for those of you who live in the break-away republic).

So I can only assume the answer to my own question is 'yes', so my second question is do people know how to help them?

For more information, visit http://www.leevalleybats.org.uk/ and why not join whilst you're at it?

We saw bats here this week on the ladder - a real treat. Normally it's a load a batty people we have to put up with walking along the passage after dark.
I've also seen bats flying above my garden in Hewitt Road quite a lot of times. I have no idea how to tell what sort they are though.
Where I live, Brownswood ward, I can see at least two bats every eve flying over my garden.

A couple of weeks ago one managed to enter in our home and we got crazy to get it out. I guess it must have been quite scared.
There's a bat walk and talk in Lorship Rec woodlands on Saturday 6 September at 7.45pm, in case anyone's interested in learning more about bats. Meeting point: Higham Road
We also have a couple of bats around Seymour - haven't seen them this much this summer (if you can call it that!) though. Probably the same ones as Hewitt Rd.
Lucky you, Ben. They are lovely little creatures.
