Apart from Adam Coffman was anyone else aware this work - removal of railings along Harringay Passage (at junctions with the roads) - was happening?
I know it was discussed at the first meeting of the Harringay Passage Group (yet to be constituted) in January, but wasn't aware a decision had been made between the council & a few residents that this work was to go ahead.

Actually, one of the small group making recommendations as you put it was in a meeting with the council officer dealing with these works, not long after the Harringay Passage mtg. I'm assuming from what you and Liz have said that you aren't aware of this.
It should be added to Hugh's comment that the suggestions were made in conjunction with proposals to narrow junctions to be similar to the Frobisher one and to invite people to help design out problems. Particular attention was paid to areas around schools (as the parent of 2 children, naturally of interest to me).
But this audit was the start of a process that everyone was invited to attend on a Saturday afternoon (so no probs with people being at work for example) and the intention was to start the conversation. My understanding of the Fo Harringay Passage was to take some of these suggestions out and forward to refine and deliver according to those most affected wishes.
To suggest "decisions" were taken by "a few residents" is mis-directing your ire. We did no more than write a long letter to the council with pictures. Decisions are taken at a council level so that is where you need to direct your complaints.
There was no consultation about the removal of barriers at Manor House, I suspect there is a London wide mandate.
The workmen did mention having met on Lausanne Rd a 'little guy wearing glasses' who was 'taking photos & jumping up and down with joy'.
This will freak drivers out, they will slow down.
The vehicles haven't slowed down since the works this morning.
What we have had is a women on a scooter cross the road and go head first over the scooter onto the pavement, as she hit a soft area of concrete just laid by the contractors to fill in the post holes - front scooter wheel sunk in and she went over. The contractors picked her up themselves.
It does make a difference to their speed but you sound like you've made your mind up already without any evidence. See you at the Friends of Harringay Passage meeting next Tuesday night.
Can I repeat this decision has nothing to do with the Friends Group which doesn't even exist yet!
However, hopefully, councillors will be present to help you with your complaint.
Yes they were posted earlier in the thread but here they are again. They were also re-posted on Jan 14 this year more recently after the Harringay Passage discussion group met but I repeat at that stage we had no idea that there was a plan to implement even the smallest of the suggestions, such as returning street signs or removing out of date signage. We were taking the audit as a *starting point* for an action group.
