Hello,
I am trying to find a good company to make plantation shutters for my living room bay window, has anyone used a good, local, company that they would recommend.
Thanks

We got a few quotes and ended up choosing www.clementbrowne.co.uk who were excellent and did a great job. One of our quotes was cheaper than them, but they price matched it when we showed it to them. The shutters look amazing.
In the middle of getting quotes at the moment myself. Who were the cheaper company Justine? Got a quote from Clement Browne and they vary considerably to other quotes we've had. Do you mind if i ask what you paid and for what? ie. window size?
Clement Browne reduced their price to £1000 plus vat. This included extras of hidden tilt and colour match to a paint colour I chose, wood was white teak, large slats. Cafe style for 3 large sash front living room bay windows, typical ladder property. Shutters are bottom tier only, no top half tier.
I had cheaper quotes from www.lifetimeshutters.co.uk and www.appealshading.com. I used the Appeal quote to get the Clement Browne price reduced, making sure the quote was like for like so I could show it to Clement Browne. I knew I preferred Clement Browne and my instincts were right as they employ an excellent fitter and the shutters are perfect.
Great. thanks for this info Justine. From all that i've spoken to so far, Clement Browne does seem the most professional.
Thank you so much for this. This is great. I will contact clement browne and others and see if I can get a cheaper quote from them.
Its always best to know someone who has used the company before.
