An ex Ladderite who moved to Derby last year bought a Kangaroo bike and swears by it apparently. Her young twins fit in there nicely and she has thighs of steel.

What a great idea, i love these bikes. Wouldnt it b amazing if one day you walk down to green lanes and the traffic is made up of just bikes and trams - pipe dream????

I saw these everywhere in Holland, but then I saw cycle lanes that were separate from roads, special lights for cyclists, respect for cycling, whole families out together and facilities for parking bikes safely and conveniently. I'd love one but I fear (my own ) road rage when prats talking on their mobile phones cut me up or lunatic white van man tries to run me off the road. I think the world is safer if I stick to shanks' pony

Maybe cyclists are more respectful of other road users and pedestrians over there?
I have cycled in Amsterdam and Den Helder quite a bit and one "advantage" of rebuilding after the war was to redesign the layout of towns and cities. 'Unfortunately" for our cycle network, our cities were designed before the increase in road usage and are unable to cope with the amount of cars, vans, buses, motorcycles and cycles.

I passed a Fietsfabriek whilst cycling back from work a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed, especially as there was a young lady 'side-saddle' on the rear carrier for that authentic Dutch look. Not ideal for commuting but fine for that trip to the shops/garden centre.

These must be incredibly difficult to steer, especially with child/ren. Trailers are better me thinks. Did look into buying a milk float once!
