Good for the Journal. Nice picture but not so reassuring as your usual teacup'n'saucer one. And remember, Mr Flouch, that draught in the draughty church hall of which you speak is really the Spirit moving where it listeth, inspiring RA devotees to ever closer hypostatic union with HOL.
I don't knock RAs, Eddie. The site aims to build with them. But of course a newspaper quote is just a newspaper quote, what it leaves out is often as important as what they put in.
Ideally, more of us don our woolly jumpers and attend the RA meetings AND participate online. People want real world participation, (look at the drinks night and the fete) as well as online activism and I'm really encouraged by the number of people who are finding their activist feet and turning up to stuff because of what they read and see online.
I agree with Eddie about the cup of tea. There's something immensely reassuring about that cuppa. It conveys hospitality. This bloke cannot be a terrorist, obviously, and we could probably enjoy a brew-up with him. HoL is equivalent to the Parish Notice board, except its rather more efficient.
Glad to see the article in the HJ and the plug - a bit surprised that they don't quote from some of the past posts - maybe its seen as a form of competition?!
I bet there are quite a few "past posts" to look through now.
We should have a way to search/order by "most viewed" or "most contributed to".... also I think the best ones for journalists to troll through at the ones that Hugh closed down :)
You can search that way John. Click on the forum main tab and at the top of the page that takes you to, you'll see three optiond for displaying the discussions, including most popular. Your lorry posting comes in at number 3!
