Thanks for posting this Hugh. What a line-up!

I think this event is going to be huge and it follows on from last weekend's amazing soapbox derby.

When things become dismal, they become locked in a downward spiral.

When there is some positivity, the reverse is true.

What a huge turnaround in APs fortunes over the last few years.

I believe AP is going to get much better yet.

I hope so.  They really must bring back the Guy Fawkes fire works.  That was one of the highlights of the year for Ally Pally and brought many visitors to the borough.

The fireworks may come back as a commercial event, with entry at a few pounds (and maybe a few other things included in the price).

While the previous events were "free" and attracted many visitors  to AP park on the night, the cost to our charity was in the order of £80k to £120k – for about 30 minutes worth of flash bang. I enjoyed the shows as did most people, but the truth is that our charitable trust could hardly ever have afforded to do this, by itself.

We can learn from the finishing event of the tour the france last night and have electronic fireworks projected on the palace. Amzing effects and not nearly as expensive i would imagine!

Mourijn, an interesting idea: AP may meet lasers in the future.

Were you at AP yesterday for the 150th park celebrations? IMO it was the best day ever at AP with thousands of people present, both seated and gamboling and I hope something like it may become an annual summer event.

Yes I was there too at various times and agree, great event, good atmosphere definitively something to do again!

Much credit too goes to the organisers, marshals, stage managers and other staff who kept things running smoothly.

HAd a great afternoon there.  Thanks to all concerned.
