Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I met Steve about a year ago when I tried to help point him in the right direction for finding a suitable premises for an organic cafe on Green Lanes.

Today, just a year later I got an email to say that all systems are go. Read about it here

Hi there, thanks for bringing that up. That is actually something that was at the forefront of our minds from the beginning. It's the reason why we opted for these premises: They are (without exaggeration) massive, so will allow for a spacious layout (i.e. room for prams), and they naturally divide into two areas, which we expect to turn into a quiet and a more lively one.

So yes, we very much hope to welcome you together with your little ones, and in fact, I already have 4 little stools with animal faces for the play corner waiting in my flat.

That's fantastic news! I'm so pleased to hear it. Thanks!

Therese, brilliant post, and so true. Thank you.

Hi Linda, just wondered if you intend to offer a breakfast menu?

Re: the Green Lanes regeneration, it'd be great for you to have access to the regeneration funds for the restoration of shop fronts, but I imagine it would be a hefty contribution for a start up business like yours. Just a thought.

Best wishes for the coming months.

Many thanks Nicholas! For the moment we're outside the shop front regeneration zone by about a block, but we plan to be around for many years, so hopefully we'll be part of the second round! Regarding breakfast, we hope to offer a cooked breakfast menu, if not every day then certainly on the weekends, but we are still working out details as that may require a pair of helping hands or two!

So glad you have found the right premises. Am really looking forward to a proper flat white made by an Aussie!!

Ditto from me. Can't beat a great flat white!

Really looking forward to this as coming from the East side of the borough I love Moka but it can be a bit of a trek when the weather isn't playing ball.

Can I put in a request for something fairly dull but (I think) important on Green Lanes? Facilities for card payments. The relative lack of cash machines in the area is well-documented, and you'll probably encourage slightly more sales this way.

Hi, yes we completely agree, we can't be without card payment facilities. Thanks for the comment!

Hi Linda, smart move locating in the north part of Harringay. Such a cafe in needed! The Grand Parade or south part of Harringay is chock full of restaurants & cafes chasing too few customers. Look fwd to the opening.

Thank you!

Can't wait for the cafe to open. I've been lucky enough to sample one of Steve's coffees in the past, and it was superb.
One question to Steve and Linda if they are reading this....will it be a dog friendly cafe? This is really lacking in our area.
