Tottenham Fire Brigade Memorial - a question
Had my interest piqued by this memorial in Tottenham Cemetery. Anyone know anything about the people named on it or the fires in the 1920s that killed the four firemen? I've looked up Tottenham Fire Brigade in History Online but searches on the Times Archive don't throw up any reports of fires in this area on those dates. Bottom date is July 27th 1922. Any snippets of info would be of interest.

Cameras were very rare at that time and so I'd like to acknowledge the work of my grandfather, William Thomas Camper Atkinson, for recording this scene. I have many hundreds of his glass negatives and lantern slides here in Western Australia, as does my brother, Andrew (also a member of this forum), who lives near Luton.
William's father, William Thomas Reed Atkinson, was a famous violin maker who William Atkinson House, in Beaufoy Road, North Tottenham, was named after. He originally owned 13 Church Road, and made and sold his instruments there.
