Free Tivo to a good home
Now that Tivo is built in to Virgin's service - and something similar with Sky, I guess - our Tivo is redundant. Is it as useless as a CRT TV or does someone want this great PVR before it goes skipwards?

Looks like Tivo's get sold on ebay for £20+ so some people still want them so you could donate it to the NHP jumble sale. Or if its got a big hardrive someone might be interested in making an external backup device by pulling out the harddrive and buying a usb-hdd adapter which only cost a few pounds.

there's quite a few people still using the original TiVos, with a free replacement service for the guide information that TiVo continued to provide prior to the Virgin box being launched.
See the forums at http://www.tivoland.com/forum/index.php - there's some offered there in "General" from time to time.
(It would be very unlikely that it's worth taking the disk out. Even if Hugh has previously upgraded his, it's unlikely to be of a significant size for todays' data storage needs.)
