Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

According to posters up in the station today, Manor House Station will be hosting an open day on Saturday 16 March 1000-1600 to mark the 80th birthday of the extension to the Piccadilly line from Finsbury Park to Cockfosters.

It said there would be an exhibition on the history of the station and "behind the scenes" tours but spaces on the tours were limited. it did not say how you would get one of those spaces on the tour but I am sure the station staff will know.

Thanks for the tip. I'd missed this.

Very cool - thanks!

The celebration is a little late-- Manor House Station opened on 19th September 1932..

By Jove, you're right! How could TfL have bungled this so badly?

I think it's the 80th birthday of the PIccadilly Line extension, rather than Manor Ho Stn.

Aha!

Well, just the section from Arnos Grove to Oakwood, which opened on 13th March 1933. (Cockfosters opened in July 1933).

Sounds like that's the anniversary then. Thanks Jeremy.
