Is anyone else's cat being terrorised by foxes?
Our cat was cornered by a young fox in the garden the other morning, and now he's nervous about going out on his own. He's 17, so not as confident as he used to be, but I'd still prefer him to be comfortable going out into his own garden.
The fox appeared again this morning, asleep on the garden shed.
Does anyone know of any anti-fox remedies?

It must be that time of year, our cat came in stinking of foxes and all the passages reek of them. Love 'em though.
@ Birdy, I pity the fox that crosses Jack on his patch!
Plenty more foxy posts linked via the tag added beneath your post, Peter.
No. I think our cats terrorise the foxes.
Sorry to hear about your furballs though!
Hi, don't know if this might be useful for you but I use them for keeping my garden boxes getting terrorised by squirrels (3 of them!!). Might need to set it where the fox is most likely going to enter/sleep? But to a frequency that your cat isn't bothered by it.

Sadly we lost 2 young cats to the foxes, they were found in a neighbour's garden - separate occasions.
You can buy various remedies on eBay to try and keep them from your garden which would be worth a go.
Also best to try and keep them in at night if possible. We struggle with this as one of ours was feral when we got him and will only come back on his terms.
Apparently they are more inclined to turn to cats in recent years due to wheelie bins making it harder for the urban fox to get scraps.
Very sorry to hear about your 2 young cats, Cara, and many thanks for the advice.
