Love 'em?

Hate 'em?

Think I've gone totally bonkers, off my rocker?

Let me know!
Tabtastic, H
I like the TV aerials on the member's map.
You don't like the rest then?
OK.... I love you all .. honest.. :°)
BTW, this is exactly a topic that could be widened out on our (not so) Live Talk..
tabulous
The techie problem with the old style was that the drop down menus were too long for the pages, so this is a way of regrouping links to keep the drop downs manageable and, added bonus, free up space on the main page by getting rid of the nav bar.
Agree about the 'My Page' thing.
Open to persuasion on the headings but as someone who 'navigates' around a lot doing bits and bobs am already used to new style .
Thanks for pointing out about the tab misalignment on your My page.

Appearances are tailorable by you on your page and this means I'm afraid the only workaround is:
- go into your appearances settings via Theme (underneath your photo on your page)
- select the Advanced tab
- then in the window at the bottom which will probably have lots of gobledegook in it, and WITHOUT touching what's there already copy and paste the code below. Save and you're fixed.

/*----------------------------------------
Members Workaround for tab sizing
-----------------------------------------*/

#xg_navigation ul li.sfhover ul {top:25px !important; left:0; width:245px !important; opacity:0.80;}

#xg_navigation ul li ul li { clear:left; width:220px !important}

Anyone would think I know what I'm talking about. But. all the same this does work!
yep, it does. 30 secs work!
What you could do as the super solution Liz is replace the code above with the code below:

#xg_navigation ul li.sfhover ul {top:25px !important; left:0; width:245px !important;background-color:#F9CFBF !important; opacity:0.80;}

This will also change the tab colours to match your page.

If anyone else would like the code to blend tab colours with their page, let me know and I'll give you the code to match your page theme. BUT DON'T use this one or you'll end up with pink tabs!

If you want to make the text on your tabs darker Liz, you could add

color:#090909 !important;

to give you

#xg_navigation ul li.sfhover ul {top:25px !important; left:0; width:245px !important; background-color:#F9CFBF !important; color:#090909 !important; opacity:0.80;}
OK, Tom. v2 revision recalls Forum into service - I decided tht "Discuss" wasn't what it's all about when many members just read. So back to plain old Forum.

I've also added a new More tab which offer the old functionality of going straight to groups, like the old tab and adds for the first time a Blog tab.

Hope you, and others who I'm sure think like you, will feel comfortable with the revised new set-up.

Any further feedback is welcome.
